Presidents Message

Murray Wright
Murray Wright (President)

I am committed, as are the other Officers and Committee members of the Church, to providing a welcoming and supportive environment for all who enter through our doors, whatever their religious background. I believe we have a multi-functional role to play in people's lives. We can act as a guide to a positive and Principle-led way of life for those who wish to take on board our spiritualist philosophy wholeheartedly and live according to the 7 Principles. Equally, as a support for those who choose to come to us when they seek comfort and reassurance at the physical loss of a loved-one or at other difficult times in their lives. As a Committee, we are always trying to bring in new ideas and ways to move the Church forward in this 21st century to meet the needs of the community we serve.

The SNU 7 Principles
  1. The Fatherhood of God
  2. The Brotherhood of Man
  3. The Communion of Spirits and the Ministry of Angels
  4. The continuous existence of the human soul
  5. Personal responsibility
  6. Compensation and retribution hereafter for all the good and evil deeds done on earth
  7. Eternal progress open to every human soul

    20th August 2020

The Kettering Spiritualist Church Committee has carried out an assessment of the possibility of re-opening the church under the current COVID- 19 Guidance for the safe use of places of worship.

We value the safety and well-being of all who visit, use and run the church and it has been decided that given the current guidelines for safe opening of the Church we are unable to do so at present.

We will continue to monitor and review any upcoming government guidance, and assess the situation again in early October.

We thank everyone for their support and hope to open the Church as soon as it is safe to do so.
